I was planning on getting this because I'm sure the PQ will be amazing, but I was wondering if you guys could tell me if it's worth owning. I have no kids and probably won't for a few more years. I don't typically watch animation in the theaters, but I do enjoy certain titles like Toy Story, Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride(I know these 2 aren't the same type of animation), Monster House, Shrek, and Monsters INC. I think my wife would think it's cute, but I want to enjoy it too. So how many of you guy's are picking it up?

I'll def be picking it up. I saw it in the theaters and thought it was refreshing.
The animation PQ is amazing and will def be eye candy on Blu-ray. |

I'm 30 and grew up on all types of animation. I definately will be picking this up mainly cause I love Pixar animation and followed the making of it. Yahoo even had a 9 min preview I'd watch before it came out, but for whatever reason I did not see in theater. Same with Cars and Meet the Robinsons (but it does seem a little goofy to purchase).
Purchasing Blu-ray's to support the sales I've done a couple of times, but the real gems of my collection are those ones I've not seen in theaters or rented before watching for the first time on Blu! |

Ratatouille...worth owning? Are you kidding me? It's a Bazillion times better then Toy Story or Monster House and on the same level as Shrek (1) and Monsters Inc. It's better then the Simpsons Movie (and i'm a HUGE Simpsons fan... d"uh... check out my avatar...). Replay/repeat value is great. You might like it better then your kids (that's not to say the kids won't like it... they surely will). It's probably THE biggest release for Blu-Ray this year as I can't possibly see anyone who won't enjoy this movie (making it by far the easiest no brainer movie gift for anyone). Anyone that owns a Blu-Ray player should buy this movie. |

Every Pixar Animation its worth the money and the investment, almost all of them are great classic Disney pictures and they put so much in the "Movie" with great stories and details that us adults can really have fun and be "kids" again
Ill definitely buy all Disney Pixar's movies since they're all classic and since my wife will give birth to my first baby this Christmas, maybe in 3 years ill have something to let my little daugther experience and enjoy (Ill be with her too... ![]() Go Blu... |

Heres a phrase that might help you enjoy more movies: "suspension of disbelief". Give the stories a chance-- we all know rats can't cook like humans. As for the movie itself-- it was very good; but it might have been a bit deeper than most younger children could comprehend. My 3 1/2 year old fell asleep halfway through it, while I thoroughly enjoyed it. Most Pixar movies do have some references and themes that only adults would get. Case in point from "Finding Nemo": "Don't you guys realize we are swimming in our own... shh!.... Here he comes!" I recommend the movie strongly. |

Took the kids to see it at our new local digital cinema in Hatfield, and not only did it look jaw-droppingly great, but my wife and I thought that apart from the rather far-fetched ending, it was one of the best films we'd seen for a long while. Another vote.
