One of the best Documentaries in my opinion is Full Tilt Boogie about From Dusk Till Dawn. I love feature length docs, the more behind the scenes stuff the better. Another cool doc is on The Devil's Rejects because they show a partial read through of the script. The whole cast sitting around a huge table reading through the script, first page to last. I only wish they had shown the whole thing, maybe in split screen with the actual movie like a visual commentary.

Ah, so many extras I haven't seen. From what I have seen, these take the cake:

Star Trek: Making-of documentaries
Transformers Trilogy: Making-of documentaries
Inglourious Basterds: "Pride of the Nation" film
Star Wars: Parody collection
Superman Anthology: Making-of documentaries for the first two movies

I feel like I largely stopped watching extras after DVD. I used to make sure I watched them all, but nowadays there are just too many movies and too little time. My favorite extras from the DVD days include:

- Alien Anthology documentaries
- Lord of the Rings Trilogy Extended Edition Appendices
- "The Making of The Shining" documentary
- "Stanley Kubrick: A Life in Pictures" documentary (if you can consider this an extra)
- Roger Ebert's Casablanca commentary

Not on the Blu-ray, but still great:
- Star Wars: Episode I's "The Beginning" documentary

Charlie de Lauzarika and David Pryor always seem to produce well made documentaries for their DVDs/Blu-rays.

Thought about it some more and came up with some more BD-specific pieces:

- Lawrence of Arabia: Collector's Edition: the deleted balcony scene
- Star Wars: The Complete Saga: Original Trilogy deleted scenes
- Harry Potter Ultimate Editions: "Creating the World of Harry Potter" documentaries
- The Godfather Collection: "Emulsional Rescue: Revealing the Godfather" featurette
- "Stanley Kubrick's Boxes" on a bonus DVD in the Full Metal Jacket digibook release

The Killing - Killer's Kiss - director Stanley Kubrick's 1955 film. In English, with optional English SDH subtitles for the main feature. (67 min, 1080p).

Laura - Biography Vincent Price: The Versatile Villain (SD, 44:03): Likewise, Vincent Price gets his own bio, with a diverse assortment of interviewees, including Dennis Hopper.

Network - Private Screenings with Sidney Lumet (SD; 54:34) Lumet sits down for an in-depth interview with Robert Osborne, culled from the TCM archives.

Need to think about the other two...

The commentary track on the first Resident Evil movie with Milla Jovovich, Michelle Rodriguez, Paul W.S. Anderson, and Jeremy Bolt is one my favorites of all time, simply for the ridiculous WTF-ery of it all.

It's clearly Milla's first time doing an audio commentary, and she really lets it all hang out. She's goofy, inappropriate, and freakin' hilarious, IMO.

I almost prefer watching the movie with her commentary to without it.

Not sure I have five, but my #1 is Dr. Brian Cox's commentary for the film "Sunshine" and my #2 is the entirety of the "Prometheus" making of.

Default 5 of the Best Blu-ray 'extras'

1.) Lord of the Rings: Extended Edition - Appendices

2.) Citizen Kane 70th Anniversay - "The Battle Over Citizen Kane" & "RKO 281"

3.) Brazil (Criterion Collection) - "The Battle of Brazil" & "Love Conquers All" studio cut of Brazil (I never fully appreciated just how powerful editors are insomuch as that the entire meaning of any film can be radically altered and totally changed with (im)proper editing).

4.) Apocalypse Now (Full Disclosure Edition) - "Hearts of Darkness" Documentary

5.) A Clockwork Orange Anniversary Digibook - "Stanley Kubrick: A Life in Pictures" & "O Lucky Malcolm!"

A Clockwork Orange - Malcolm McDowell audio commentary
Videodrome - Both the directors and actors commentaries are awesome and helped me to understand this bizarre film better than I could on my own
3 Women - Robert Altman audio commentary
Blue Velvet - An hour of deleted footage in perfect HD quality, better quality than many actual blu ray releases
Do The Right Thing - HD deleted scenes
