Hi, I bought the HTP-071 Pioneer HT system back in November and I've been having issues with it when it plays Blu-rays.
I have my slim PS3 hooked up to the receiver with an HDMI connection, and the tv which is a Sony Bravia KDL-32BX310. when I put a dvd into the PS3 there's no problems whatsoever. The movie will start up no problem. However, anytime I play a Blu-ray the screen will go to the tv input 1 screen (since that's my connection for it) and say there's no signal/connection. The red HDMI light on the receiver also flashes and the sound setting it's at "Pro Logic II" will flicker. Then the sound for the Blu-ray will start up, and between 45-50 seconds later the picture will come up. At the top of the screen where Input 1 flashes it also flashes 1080/24p HD. I'm thinking it has something to do with this as normally it's just at 1080P HD. I've looked online and seen many things, but they are all audio issues. This is a major annoyance and I think there's something that I haven't set in the PS3 video settings, but I've tried several different things with it, and none have fixed this issue. Please help out a fellow film enthusiast with this annoying problem. |
