Default Do we have a Thread for I Sell The Dead?

I Sell the Dead coverart and specs

How is this movie? I've been staying away from it because it sort of looks poor if you know what I mean but it did have limited release and it has the great Ron Perlman but if there's one thing any Ron Perlman fan knows, a lot of his movies either suck or are good. Mostly his del Toro collaborations or his TV work.

added a link (don't know how to do it all fancy like the other guys )

The "Frightfully Awful" pun on the cover makes me wince.

I for one am looking forward to this release. I've heard from people who went into it not expecting much but coming out pleasantly surprised. Sounds like it'll be a quirky lttle tale. I'm not much of a Ron Perlman fan though. Guys done some really horrid films. But on the other hand, this movie also stars ANGUS (Boooooyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!) SCRIMM!!!

Well I'm not looking for throwback anything. Just entertainment and Ron Perlman.

Yeah but Ron Perlman is talented as hell. He recently did a low budget horror called The Last Winter which was great but the end is a turn off for some.

That movie was directed by Larry Fessenden, who is one of the stars of this movie.
Perlman doesn't have much of a role here, but he's good with what he's got.

Czar no offense, but I've seen you like sillier films than Hellboy. Hellboy in my opinion is the funnest comic book movie out there.

And I like Ron Perlman because he's a badass and good actor?

I wasnt tryin to be funny when i asked u about him. I dont know a lot about him and I havnt heard anyone talk about him, then I see Hellboy trailor and dude looks plain silly for a hero character. I also know how serious u take films and it just doesnt add up that u would like Hellboy or this guy. What movies do u recommend that he acted well in? Also I like a lot of silly films. I am pretty opened. But I usually want my comic book films to be taken a bit more serious. Again no harm just was really curious. Got Em!!

Picked this up at Moviestop today. Only 18.67, so I figured what the hell.

Excited about watching it, the comic book included was pretty good.

I'm buying this blind based on reviews and price. I saw a preview for it on the Dead Snow blu ray and I thought it looked good. Coming from the same company that put out Dead Snow if its anywhere near as good as that film I will be very pleased with my purchase.

I am so tempted at the $16.49 price point.

Lately my luck has been that if I don't grab something as soon as it goes on sale the price jumps and I miss out. I'm sure at some point in the future it will be even cheaper, but I felt $16.49 for a new release wasn't bad. With good reviews and being in a genre that I really enjoy I think this was a fairly safe purchase for me.

Currently on sale at $4.99, looks like it's the lowest price its been so far. Never seen it but worth a shot.

Just wanted to thank you for this post! I did a blind buy at that price (when I originally saw your post) just based on the stars. Got it in and finally watched it tonight! I thought it was a great little film, and really enjoyed it. As for it being a "Hammer throwback", no, but I saw a lot of great nods to classic Hammer films. Mine came with the mini graphic novel as well! I'm very glad I added it to my collection!
