Default Anyone Shrek-depressed?

I'm not a huge fan of kids movies, or buying them rather, but I totally would have picked that one up if it went blu. =(

And walmart needs a bigger blu selection. If I'm going to take time out of my day to walk into their crappy store at least give me a little selection. MY Target has 3 times as many.

Don't care about Shreck movies and would not have purchased them on BD if available. Yes Walmart is a discrace. They had 10 BDs hidden in the locked game cabinet under the bottom shelf. you had to put your face on the floor with the discarded bubble gum to even see them!

Shrek 3 was crap... as far as I'm concerned red can have it. It's a good fit for the format.

Not at all but I am still bummed about Transformers.

I guess I'll have to watch Spiderman trilog, Pixar, Die Hard, Superbad to get over it.

Eddie Murphy went from funniest stand up comedian ever to a talking self-deprecating donkey, disgraceful.
I would take any 1 Pixar movie over all 3 Drek movies.

Shrek 3 was boring with it's wafer thin story and it's barely there comedy so I definitely wouldn't have purchased it anyway. 1 & 2 were much better but I already have them on DVD and wouldn't be that interested in double-dipping. Pixar movies on the other hand........

Shrek (the first one) was original, which I liked, then with two is went downhill, and three was just plain bad.

My kids are older now so there is no need to buy this on any format. I would not buy for myself, saw it on a plane and thought that it was more of the same from the first and second one.

Then why do you still go to Wal-Crap if Target has a better selection?

BTW - Shrek was crap. First one was "ok" but everything else - junk.

well i haven't been there in about 4 months and I've heard they're cheaper by almost $5 on some movies and recently I've heard they've been screwing up hardcore on street dated items. Thought I could pick up cars or something tonight. Unfortunately the one by me isnt open 24 hours and they didn't screw up. I dont even think I'll buy cars just because I wont watch it enough, but I'd be willing to buy it if it meant wal-mart would be getting fined. woo!

There are so many other choices out there and you can price match to Wal-Crap and NOT have to shop there.

I thought the first two shreks were decent but otherwise I can't stand any of the other dreamworks animated films. They're all so focused on pop culture references, fart jokes, big name celebrity voices, pop music, and ethnic stereotypes that after a while it just gets so grating to watch any of their movies. They're so worried about having an "in your face" attitude for the MTV generation that they never seem to find the heart and timeless humor that are hallmarks of the best classic disney and pixar films.

So while I think having dreamworks animation films on blu-ray would be good for the format, I'm personally not lamenting the lack of any of their titles for my own collection. Given the choice between the exclusive support of Pixar or Dreamworks I'd choose Pixar by a ridiculously huge margin...

I won't be missing Shrek at all. The movie had basically no story line and was pointless. I hated it and I won't be missing it especially now that I have my Pixar movies coming out on Blu-Ray tomorrow
