Yeah, I just noticed after I posted that, that the eagle's website mentions the super deluxe LE too. I'm not sure how the amazon exclusive one differs, sorry. It could just be that Amazon is the only retailer that's allowed to sell it, besides the official website for the band

The super-ultra-mondo-version comes with a poster print, ten photos, and a 40-pg book.

No way in hell that the deluxe version is worth $250 MORE than the regular blu set.

I pre-ordered the standard version.

Could be but then I would expect them to put the retail value at 225 or 250 if it includes a tshirt, and then sell it for less. No reason to pay $270 if its cheaper from the band

Pre-Ordered the $27.99 version - didn't know this was being released. Is there a link to more detailed information about the release?

Anyone know the set list for the 1977 concert? I hope it includes Randy Meisner singing Try and Love Again, one of their most underrated tracks.

According to:

http://www.antimusic.com/news/13/Mar..._Blu-Ray.shtml

This is the setlist:
The live disc will feature performances from the Eagles' two-night stand at Washington, D.C.'s Capital Center during their Hotel California tour and features previously unreleased concert performances of "Hotel California," "New Kid In Town," "Take It To The Limit," "One Of These Nights," "Lyin' Eyes," "Rocky Mountain Way," "Best Of My Love" and "Take It Easy."

What a joke that $249.99 version is, but I digress...

Like many or most of us here, I've seen the very good 3hr 15min Showtime Documentary already, so it's a little peculiar for them to say "Over 4 hours of Never-before-Seen" footage. Also, that "bonus disc" of the '77 show is only 8 songs, which is a Complete ripoff, knowing that they could just release that show in its entirety

Quote:
Also included on the 3rd disc is a 1977 concert performances from the Capital Centre in Landover, Md. (Hotel California Tour) including Hotel California, New Kid In Town, Take It To The Limit, One Of These Nights, Lyin' Eyes, Rocky Mountain Way, Best Of My Love and Take It Easy.

As another post on Amazon says:
Quote:
Also about 8 tracks from the 1977 concert will be released as a dvd part of this package. Why not just release the whole darn concert? I've got a boot of one of the shows filmed during the tour, but the concert footage show in the documenatary is definitely master film...so why not just release the entire concert???? Why only pieces of a show??? It's 2013...why not give the fans the real deal...
I think the probable reason is they want to release the '77 show Separately so they can, Here's a Shocker!!
[Show spoiler](NOT!!)
, make More money of the Entire concert BD.

Don Henley only cares about making more money. And you can bet Bernie, Don F., and Randy won't be getting any of it. This big money grab by the Henley Eagles started with the Hell Freezes Over tour, the first concert tour to break the $100 (or more) per ticket barrier. I fell for that because it had been so long since the breakup, but enough is enough. Feel so fortunate that I got to see them several times in the 70's, including the Hotel California tour stop at Cincy's Riverfront Stadium. $12.50 to see the Eagles, Steve Miller Band, and some "new guy" named Eddie Money.

Okay, so all the stuff cough-that I already mentioned-cough comes in a mini-mini-mini blanket-boxy thing, and its' also limited to 5K copies ("Holy Twilight Time, Batman!")....

If Glenn and Don and Joe want to hand-deliver the thing to me and do a show for me in my living room, I'm in.

I was pretty excited about this blu, with the '77 concert included. Hearing only 8 songs will be on it makes me sad. What a let-down, man.

Agree, Henley and Frey are money hungry, power hungry meglomaniacs. Even though I like their hits, I've never seen them live in concert other than the Austrailian DVD/Blu-ray, nor do I care to. Nor do I need to know their "history".
