I was super, super excited to get a PS4 for launch, and then I saw the available games and bundles. Now we've seen the FAQ come out that basically says external HDDs to store and retrieve media from is useless and to top it off we had two big titles delayed.
Add to that, that AC IV clearly demonstrated that 'next gen' really hasn't kicked off yet with even all these multi-platform games (which is clearly the majority of launch titles) not really delivering on any real graphical improvement and most of the improvements still being 'fluff'. For me, that's kinda deflated my desire to jump in at launch and I know I've seen quite a few other people on here say the same. For me, it would have been Killzone, AC IV, Drive Club (PS+ edition), Indie games, Watch_Dogs and possibly Battlefield 4 at launch or close to. Instead, the bundles not being really appealing or cost saving as well as delays means it would more likely be Killzone, AC IV, indy titles and maybe Batttlefield 4 when it comes on offer. To some, that might be enough, but I dunno if that still holds enough variety until more 'proper' next gen titles start releasing. So, what are you guys feeling? Still pumped, or bit deflated but still looking forwards to get a PS4? |
