Default Movie Poster Question

A good friend of mine is trying to "date" a photograph that was taken in NYC. He thinks it's from the 80's but it's dated 1993 on the back.

There's a bus in the background. Anyone recognize the poster on it?

I only have 2 possible options:

My first choice would be Swing Kids which came out in 1993. The image to the left of the character would seem to fit that, and the words look about right and there were 3 main names.

The only other film I could find was Hard Target in 1993, which matches the color choices, but there wasn't 3 names, just Van Damme.

I couldn't find anything in the 80's that resemble that, so I think its correct with the 1993 label.

From looking at the invaluable source that is IMP Awards, I'm guessing it's between these two films.

Poetic Justice - blue background, similar typography, three possible names above the title (Janet Jackson, Tupac Shakur, Maya Angelou)
Strictly Ballroom - blue background, typography has similar color, three main characters that Miramax likely sold as stars of the future

I'm going to *have* to figure this out, stuff like this plagues me. If I didn't know any better, I'd think it was "Bad Boys". The letters actually seem like they spell out that title, and the image on the left looks like Will Smith in shades. lol But the time period would be wrong, as would the poster colors. Hmmm...

Another posibility is that its not from a movie, but an advertisement for an event, tv show or other mass marketing campaign.

I'm beginning to think TV Show, since nothing really matches up right. But it could also be a law office or even real estate marketing.

First thing I thought of was Puss in Boots. I know you said the photo is old... but that really looks like a Puss in Boots advertisement
