the DVd version I have is complete trash, the audio is awful, both in english and spanish, and the image is about a 4/10 being generous.

Its a very good series that stands the test of time and deserves a lot better

I have the entire series on blu ray and it’s an outstanding show. One of best cop shows of all time to me. If the picture was significantly better, I’d buy it on Blu ray.

The pilot, The Marcus Nelson Murders, is one of the best piece of TV ever. I found it deeply moving and unsettling when I first saw it aged 12. It's not included in the dvd sets, I believe.

I haven't double-checked my copy yet, but I think The Marcus-Nelson Murders is included in Shout! Factory's Kojak: The Complete Movie Collection DVD set.

Am planning on starting watching the television series soon (previously, have only seen bits of the show).

If Kino Lorber move to Kojak after they finish with Columbo I will be very happy.

Well I've seen it on TV in HD looking really good, in fact it's on every day in the UK (ITV4), I've been recording them.

Are you certain that it is in HD? If so, that is wonderful.

This is way overdue for a region 1 blu-ray release.
