Default Issue with 20th Century Fox titles playing in Corel WinDVD Pro 11?

I have had more than one movie freeze after the main title shows up. I only recently realized that it seems to only be with Fox titles (Taken 2, Life of Pi, and now Good Day to Die Hard). Is there a known issue and hopefully a fix?

It will play 0:07 of the main theme then just hang. I tried hitting skip forward but it still just hangs. It won't let me hit the main menu button. On these occasions I have had to watch the DVD instead.

I'm running Windows 7 Pro if that is important.

I've never used WinDVD so I can't comment on it directly, but I have used many versions of PowerDVD over the years and they regularly apply firmware updates. Maybe WinDVD is simply not up-to-date on their FW or you need to download the latest update.

From what I can tell the program is up to date. It's weird that it seems to only happen with Fox titles. No one else uses this program? Not much of a response (maybe there is a better forum for this topic?)

Another movie that doesn't load past the opening Fox logo is Epic. Is this not a common occurrence for other people?

Most people here are probably using a real blu-ray player, hence the lack of support for your situation.

I also had trouble with some discs using this software. I found out they needed to update the software somehow so you could play the discs. If you haven't installed this update: http://www.corel.com/corel/pages/ind...1&ppid=3500025 Then, do it.

If the mentioned discs still don't work, register on this forum and ask for help or buy a reserve software like TotalMedia Theatre 5/6: http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewforum....d18cc88982f96b
