Also known as just RUSH, ABSENT GUARD and now AMBUSHED for the U.S., it precedes BLOOD OF REDEMPTION but also stars Lundgren and Vinnie Jones, as well as Randy Couture. While BOR is more of a gangster/mob picture whereas this one stands on the point of vue of cops.

Yes I heard that Hard Rush was more street gangster driven and Blood of Redemption is more family mob style. I believe Dolph Lundgren, Vinnie Jones and Gianni Capaldi (British actor?) did 3 films together with Serafini directing back to back with Certain Justice being the third.

Looks like we will have their faces on our screens this winter.

Being released by Signature Entertainment is not a good sign. I own a couple of their releases of low-budget titles and they are pretty awful.

Indeed, RUSH (original title, now called AMBUSHED in the States) is a DEA/LAPD cop action thriller whereas BLOOD OF REDEMPTION is more a gangster drama.

Yes the three films come from the same team, Capaldi being one of the co-producers. Serafini did direct RUSH entirely whereas he was co-directing on BLOOD OF REDEMPTION and A CERTAIN JUSTICE that he was chaperoning writers Shawn Sourgose and James Coyne at the helm.

You mean the films themselves or the quality of their Blu-rays? Anchor Bay picked it up for the U.S. so it should be decent...

I saw clips of Ambushed, it is AMAZING! Seriously much better than Blood of Redemption.

Vinnie Jones and Gianni Capaldi were surprisingly REALLY good in Ambushed..
