I was looking for the original release of this (or just the outer box really) because once upon a time I slightly damaged the outer box - later re-releases seem to be in a single disc keepcase with a tray.

Also I read an Amazon review that said the "Party Pooper Pants" episode is cut in the re-release (the one where Spongebob throws his own party with a Plan Your Own Party kit)

I have the newer version of the set, and as far as I can remember, "Party Pooper Pants" is still intact.

Might get the newer version of the set to save a bit of space on my shelf if everything is fine with it. Thanks

Weirdly I've read critical reviews saying people have purchased "new" sets from Amazon etc and some discs dont work.

I’m pretty sure the slimmer season releases are just the exact same discs with no artwork.

It would be nice if they’d fix the errors on the discs (like the messed up audio in the bad breath episode). It would also be nice if they put the uncensored “Just One Bite” on there.

I was lucky enough to watch the original airings of that one prior to 2004, when they edited out the whole break-in.

do any of you guys use makemkv to save your collection, and if so run into an issue with S3 in particular? It appears that only this season I've had issues with copying, it acts like the disks are damaged, and I went as far as to repurchase the season, and had the same exact problem.
I know that this thread is pretty old, but if any of you have any ideas on how to fix that, do let me know!

I copied all three disc from season three to my computer, I used DVD Shrink though.

Update: I do seem to have issues with the first two discs or season six. (Or rather, discs one & two of The Next 100 Episodes box-set. But the discs are 1:1 copies of the seasons sets.)
