2K runs the show when it comes to NBA video games. I can't imagine EA even sniffing at their greatness. There's a reason why they haven't made a basketball game in years.

It's only been 3 years since the last one. Sometimes you just gotta lay low and revamp. Even if it takes 3 years

I liked NBA Live more than 2K before it died so I am more interested in this. But not happy about the fact we have basically seen nothing of either game.

real talk. NBA2k14 is on my launch list, but I haven't heard a peep. I should probably just get it on the 360 so I'm not disappointed that it's just a slightly cleaner current gen game on the PS4.

I was big Live guy in the 90s. When you see a title get cancelled year after year though you lose confidence in the publisher.

I haven't played a 2k game since the early 00's. I don't want my games TOO REAL and I don't want them to be NBA JAM either so I usually don't buy NBA games.

2 NBA Launch games & no NHL 14

Still undecided on a sports game for next-gen. Was never good at either NBA title but I really enjoyed the realism. Everytime I walk into a EB/Gamestop they got some console platform of the game running demo & it always catches my eye.

Fifa is boring. Have not played Madden in a long while. (Is the guy still alive? )

Same thing EA did this gen and not rushing into it with NHL worked out well. So hopefully that is the case again. I am surprised that Take 2 didn't take the opportunity to relaunch NHL 2K though since a year as the only next gen hockey game would have got some people to give it a chance. They continue to waste time and money on MLB 2K which is far worse than NHL 2K was.

As for this EA announced they are releasing their launch games three days before each system launches. That list is FIFA, Madden and Battlefield. So apparently this is missing launch. Hopefully not a bad sign it will be cancelled like the last few games. I doubt they cancel it yet again after announcing it and working on it but I doubted they would do that the last few times too. So what do I know? Need for Speed also missing launch. Both could still be launch window though of course.

NFS R is launching on the 15th.

In fact (not complaining) I'd be surprised if you could pick up Fifa or Madden before the 15th for PS4. Maybe because of 5 consoles being available by the 22nd, street date / launch date will mean next to nothing for GameStop.

The only confirmed date for NFS is November 19th for current gen and PC. Any PS4 or Xbone dates are going with the assumption it would be a launch game. Which it isn't going to be or EA would have announced it as such when they outlined their launch. Technically with NFS they always said the next gen versions would be coming later than the current gen versions though so that should have been expected. NBA Live is the concerning one not making launch with the history of it being delayed and then cancelled.

And getting the games early won't be an issue at all. Happens with every system launch so it isn't some unusual thing that will cause problems. Short of places like Wal-Mart where they are too incompetent to handle game releases period. Personally I always opt out of picking them up until I pick up the system though. Just makes the last few days drag on even more having games sitting around for the system you can't pick up yet. Only one I ended up with my games early for was Vita because I went and picked up a PS3 game the week before and had the Vita games fully paid off. So they stuck them in the bag without me even noticing. Got home to the torture of having to wait a week to play them. And that was a week before the first edition bundle at that so two weeks before the full Vita launch And seems to me they were out even sooner than that since I seem to remember Uncharted showing up in January.

Well they have now confirmed this for November 19th for both PS4 and Xbone. So missing the PS4 launch by a few days but making the Xbone launch Hope that increases the odds that NFS will be the 19th for all platforms and not just current gen and PC. Can't see it sooner than that just to give PS4 it earlier than all the other platforms. Especially when EA are being funded by Microsoft until their next renewal of who pays them the most.

They also finally released the first gameplay screenshot for this.

For a game that is only on the Xbone and PS4 that sure is underwhelmingly last gen looking.
