I live in New Zealand which is a Region B country and I don't have a multi-region BDP. I've noticed that the audio varies between regions for some BDs. An example is Electra Glide in Blue which had a DTS-MA 2.0 release for Region A but a Dolby Digital 2.0 for Region B. Tess Criterion Collection Region A has a 5.1 DTS-MA but Dolby Digital 5.1 for Region B. Anyone know why this is done? Are they saving a few bucks by not paying for the DTS-MA licence in a particular region?
