Default VT60 and turning off speakers

Just replaced my vt25 with a vt60 and I'm having problems finding the option to turn off the tv speakers and use theater speakers. The reason I like this option is on my vt25, once the tv speakers are off, the remote controls the receiver volume. Even in the help menu it shows the ability by saying "options is grayed out when using home theater." Yet I can not find the option. Any help?

How do you turn off the internal TV speakers on the Panasonic TC-P60VT60. I can't find it in the menu settings.

You can't! Sort of. If you go thru Viera, you can change speakers from 'TV' to 'Surround' (or something like that). Apps > Viera link > Audio

You cannot turn the speakers off in the Audio menu like you can in previous models.

Mine are off on my VT. The only time I heard them is during the setup. PLugged in my avr to hdmi3 and adjusting the volume I get no sound from the tv. I must have somehow shut them off in the apps.
