Default BACK IN TIME ("Making Of" Documentary of the BACK TO THE FUTURE Trilogy)

If it's important to anyone from a purchase perspective, the audio on this title is lossy DVD-quality only, with a 5.1 option at 448 kbps and a 2.0 at 192 kbps.

Simple. I've been here long enough to know proper forum etiquette. In both cases, Blu-ray.com's search engine sucks eggs and didn't show me those prior threads. I'm happy for a moderator to merge them.

It's true, I can never find anything I'm looking for. I thought it was just me.

There's simply no excuse for any Blu-ray to be saddled with compressed audio. Just because Dolby Digital will get the job done doesn't mean it's acceptable.

If this were included with the official release, do you REALLY think it would have had lossless audio?!?

Really don't like these making of's.

I don't want my favourite films dissected so everytime I watch them after I'll be thinking "I know how they did that".

I don't understand your question. Here, I'll make it simple. Every Blu-ray should feature lossless audio, unless it's of a film so old that original audio materials can't be located. That's clearly not an issue for a 2015 film, though. All that said, this is not the kind of thing that would sway me from purchasing this BD, or most others, but I know it would for others. That's why I posted this--not to dissuade people from a purchase, but to help them make an informed one based on their own personal priorities.

Click the "search this forum" button, hit advanced search, select "search titles only". It takes 20 seconds and will find a thread every time, if there is one and the title is spelled correctly.

Sheesh. Try to offer up some helpful information and everybody thinks you're an a$$hole. This place makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

That seems to be a bit harsh. One person complained and another gave you instructions on how to accomplish something you weren't able to do. Doesn't seem like much of anything to get worked up over.

not sure if you've watched this yet or not, but it's hardly a "making of" doc... deals far more w/ the cultural impact of the movies and uber-fanboys recreating props, BTTF conventions, etc...

there was far more "behind the scenes" info on the blu-ray releases. this is more of a fluff piece. vaguely interesting for a one-time viewing, but not something i'm ever likely to feel inclined to watch again...

It's terrible I agree, its a waste of a disc, BD-R or not.
But I would have liked to have heard those talking heads in lossless audio

Wrong. One guy chastised me for posting in the wrong place, two others chided me for expressing concern with the disc's lossy audio and MifuneFan spoke condescendingly with the line, "It takes 20 seconds". More importantly (since, let's be honest, there are always haters), I have yet in all this discussion to see even one person say, "Thank you for this information." Just makes me wonder why we're comfortable living in an online culture that shows zero appreciation for good intentions.

Wow ..

If you're doing something to get appreciation, then you're doing it for the wrong reason. Also, I was trying to help you, and wasn't trying to be condescending about it. I put that it takes 20 seconds because there's almost always a follow-up post when I explain how to do it, where someone says that takes way too long. 20 seconds is not a long time, and saves mods from having to do extra work, plus the benefit of not having threads derailed with posts like these..
