Developed by Guerrilla Games, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Killzone 3 is the latest title in the Killzone franchise, bringing the most robust first-person shooter experience exclusively for the PlayStation 3. Following on the heels of the highly acclaimed Killzone 2, players will once again face the hostile Helghast army, battling overwhelming odds in the fight for human survival. Killzone 3 delivers the definitive cinematic sci-fi war experience with an immersive single-player campaign as well as full featured multiplayer action in the war against the Helghast.

Players will be tasked with utilizing a host of new weapons and vehicles in the battle for human survival. Helghast variety is now greater than ever, with players facing jetpack troopers as well as enemies wielding weapons of mass destruction. Killzone 3 thoroughly explores the planet Helghan, showcasing a wide breadth of destructible environments and stunningly detailed scenery. Additionally, players will be tasked with utilizing a host of new weapons and vehicles in the war to stop the Helghast. Featuring an extensive single-player campaign and thrilling multi-player mode, Killzone 3 delivers a host of new gameplay elements and an intense storyline that will once again drive gamers to join the ranks of the ISA and fight the Helghast.



STORY

Continuing from Killzone 2, players find Emperor Visari the viscious dictator of the Helghast, dead at the feet of Sev and Rico. However this war is far from won. In the wake of Visari's death Helghan has devolved into a world of political scheming, rapid infighting and murder. Now the two most powerful men on Helghan are fighting for complete and utter dominance while Visari's vision of Helghan is in jeopardy. With limited supplies and no re-enforcements, the ISA must now fight not to win a war, but to survive a lost one.

Those Hig snow outfits look very.. flexible. Would be crazy if the cloth flexed and rippled like the jerseys in baseball games.

Any mention of 60fps yet? Would make sense with the S3D support (dropping to 30fps for that of course).

Just noticed the 3D snow as well, very similar to what Team Ninja started using in Dead or Alive 3.

I never did got what the controls complaint was about. It was smooth sailing for me. There was actually weight to characters movement, instead of sliding and gliding around like the majority of fps.

Anyway, I look forward to more info.

Looking forward to so actual videos. I love Killlzone 2 but a bit dissappointed to just see snow levels. I'm hoping for some lush levels with lots of color. I would have loved battling on earth or in something exotic looking.


The engine looks the same so far (I'm sure they've improved it some).

Gawd i'm drooling at the prospect of how good the graphics will be on this game! Killzone 2 has some of the best visuals on the PS3 and it was GG's first venture on the system. Think about how much better Uncharted 2 looks than UC1, then imagine the possibilties here!

Awesome! I never heard confirmation they were making a third game. KZ2 is one of the best FPS games I've played. Kind of makes me wish I had a 3D TV.

That is the only game-play complaint I have about the first, and it is minor.
