So just confirming before I order my copy... this does support the (I think blu-ray calls it True3D) and isn't just the anaglyph right (the paper glasses it comes with)

Default The Hole, Street Dance - REGION B LOCKED

Can anyone confirm if the UK versions of The Hole or Street Dance (3d versions) play in the USA? Thank you.

Nope, I made the mistake of ordering it and it's B region. Anyone with a region free 3D BD player and wants to buy this let me know.

Default THE HOLE 3D (Joe Dante)

So what are people's thoughts on this movie? It's been available in the UK for some time on 3D Blu, but i know it's only recently been released theatrically in the States (not sure if that was a 3D presentation or not). The price for the UK Blu is very reasonable now.

I think it's a good movie, like a horror but for teenagers. Definitely not to be dismissed as a kids film as there are some well staged scare scenes and moments of suspense that would probably be too intense for some children.

The 3D is very good too, with nice depth and a few pop out moments. Only mild criticism is that a lot of the setting is just in a house, which perhaps doesn't lend itself to amazing 3D moments.

Anyone else enjoy this movie/ the 3D?

Saw the film in 2D on Blu and agreed with Mark Kermode that it was good and probably under-rated when theatrically released.

When I got my 3D setup a few weeks ago I liked the film enough to order the 3D version but haven't got around to watching it in 3D yet.

Smile agreed, its tops!

I think it was really enjoyable. Joe Dante really knows how to direct with pace and therefore what could be a slow and tedious exercise turns into something dramatically different.

I really liked the pop out moments, the baseball bit being my favourite 3D scene in the film. Great depth as well and fullscreen. What more can we ask for??

I recently rewatched 1987's "The Gate" on Netflix, and was struck by how much it looked like somebody else's meager attempt to artificially replicate An 80's Joe Dante Movie on a low, low, low budget.
Think Dante was either ironically doing his own tribute, or just closing the circle.

(And no, we didn't get the 3D version, not even on Vudu VOD. I'm still optimistically tempted to wait.)

I imported the Dutch version. It has mild video compression issues, but I enjoyed the movie, and the 3D is excellent. Definitely one of my favorites.

I have had the 3D version from the UK for a while, but have yet to watch it. Every time I try to watch it, something always pops up and I only get to watch the few couple of minutes. Maybe this weekend, I'll break out the popcorn and beer to watch this one. Nothing like getting a butter face with beer chasers. I'll let you guys know after I watch it completely.

Default Joe Dante's THE HOLE 3-D (2009) ?

There are several region B editions and at least one region B edition that is also region A, according to the database:

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-H...Blu-ray/28935/

Which one do you have and how is it and what does it include?

Which one should I buy?

Thanks. I've been looking at it but sales are blocked to the USA.

Are there any Brits here, with a paypal account?

Thanks, looks like I want the Dutch edition. No luck finding it thus far.

I'd buy the U.K. edition but amazon and ebay block sales to the USA. "This items may not be sold to the United States" it says. You have to be a USA member to see that notice on the page, however.
