Can anyone give me any information about the 2007 release of phantasm on dvd? I know its not on blu ray so im curious about picture quality and etc.

I just picked it up a few days ago for $5 new, you are referring to the Anchor Bay release from 2007. I didn't watch the whole movie but i did pop it in to check it out. It doesnt mention it getting a remastering treatment but it looks ok. A serviceable PQ considering they packed a bunch of special features, and documentaries on the same disc. It was have 5.1 Dolby, 5.1 DTS, and 2.0 Surround which is a nice touch. I hope that helps

It's good for a DVD. I watched it a couple months ago. But a BD would be so much better. There were a few scenes in dire needs of a HD upgrade.
