That looks cool and all... but after a lot of bad experiences with Alienware... I recommend against them.
My sis got a computer before they were bought by Dell cause she knew they make great machines and had the best customer service. Well when her monitor stopped working, they had her send in the graphics card to get a new one, which was even worse than the one before, than they had her send in the computer, found nothing wrong and sent it back, then they had her reinstall the software but the guy on the phone telling her what to do wasn't paying attention to her when she asked that her data not be erased, and proceeded to initialize the hard drive... deleting everything she ever had on there after she told them not to and without warning, then after they got their software running, she gave up on them and managed to get it to work herself for a little but it went out again. AGAIN they had her send in the computer and sent it back with nothing done to it! She was so upset by this point she was ready to sue them. In the end, after I got involved, we figured out the FIRST THING the customer support should have done was what was wrong with it.. the monitor had a bad connection. The computer was fine but they didn't even bother to ask if the monitor was the problem!
They really suck and did not treat her well. She refuses to use them anymore for customer service.

I am sorry to hear about some bad experiences with Alienware in the past for some of you, but this is good news and it definitely looks kool. HD-DVD has no one but Toshiba.

Well this was kind of a given since Alienware was purchased by Dell.

But the more the better I say!

By the way mods we need to add the Alienware players to the list of players. Also I believe Harman Kardon also makes a blu player.

I do not have any personal experience with Alienware, but that sure looks cool. I would like to hear back from anyone with first hand experience of this piece of hardware to see how it handles.

I like the look of the player but why did they put in an integrated amp? Thats just something extra I would not need to buy. I hope they make a regular player version.

Everybody's talking about this like it's a standalone player.

It's just an HTPC with integrated amp and an optional Blu-ray drive. The fact that the size resembles a standalone player doesn't really change that. Lots of PC companies make similar systems.
