Can you hook us an IPOD throught the PS3's USB slot? If not, How do I move my MP3 files to my PS3?

If you have a computer with media player on it and wi-fi - you can just stream your music from your computer. It will also save you hard-drive space.

Or you can put in the CD in your PS3 and hit the triangle button, then "copy" - which will download it to your hard-drive.

I don't have an I-Pod, so someone else may be able to help you out there.

Hook the iPod up via USB just as you would with a PC or Mac, on the XMB go to Music. An icon of some sort (USB memory?) should appear to represent the iPod. With that icon selected press TRIANGLE and choose Display All.

Warning.....

Its ugly...
Not very user friendly..

No easy way to sort through the music, and some have really weird names, or just misc characters as the name...

Sony needs to update this, IMO..

Without question. I dumped my entire Ipod to the PS3 and ended up deleting everything shortly thereafter. No biggie since I have a dock for my Ipod that connects it directly to my receiver but don't we all want our Playstation 3's to DO EVERYTHING!

So, is it better to hook up the ipod, or save all the files from my PC to a memory stick to get them on the PS3?

Do you mean copy them to a memory stick or flash drive? How do you stream?

I found that its best to transfer via memory card or cd. Transfering by ipod never really worked for me, unless i made a folder called "music" and put the songs i wanted into there
