Nice Blu display at Sam's!!! - Blu-ray Forum

FYI...stopped by the local Sam's club and in the last three days, there has been a pretty massive Sony and Blu display set up on and endcap by all of the TV's. It is by far the nicest Blu display I have seen at any of the local retailers.

They had a 50" Bravia (no XBR) set up playing Ratatouille on Blu. Was wondering if anyone has seen these displays set up at their local Sam's.

I noticed just a couple of weeks ago that our Sam's is finally carrying Blu. Yayy. I got my copy of Ratatouille there on Tuesday night. I don't recall seeing a fancy pants Blu display like you're talking about, but that's cool.

I was going to post on this soon, I'll probably snap some pics as well. Its been up at my club for about 2 weeks. It came through as company direction to have this massive sony/blu endcap and also a pod close by with all of the blu titles we carry.

I tried having a Blu-ray/HD DVD endcap at work but damn customers kept on stealing them (mostly Blu-ray).

How much did you get Rat for at Sam's?? I had to pay friggin $31 after tax at CC yesterday

I know its cheaper online but I needed to pick it up on the way home!

It was 27.(something) before tax so I guess it would have been $30.31 at most after tax. I don't know for sure because I got it with a bunch of other crap. Damn you bulk suppliers. Damn you!!

Speaking of Sam's...

I received the "Christmas Gift" issue of their catalog yesterday. After the $35,000 electric car and Shuttle Blast-Off package for four, I flipped the page and staring back at me was a full 2-page ad for all things Blu-Ray, including a Sony XBR LCD TV, Blu-Ray players and Blu-Ray discs. Die Hard, PotC:AWE, Spidey 3, Rat, were all shown. Even had a paragraph on "What Is Blu-Ray?".

Pretty sweet!

And not one mention of...you know..."them".
