I'm surprised NISA didn't learn their lesson from the 1st game

Mugen Souls Z is coming to North America and Europe, NIS America have announced. The Compile Heart RPG will be released in 2014. Here’s their summary of the game:

Our favorite Undisputed God of the Universe, Chou-Chou, returns with her crew for a brand-new story revolving around the zodiac. Taking place immediately after the first game, you take control of the goddess Sylma, who meets Chou-Chou before the end of the first game’s events. Sylma is out to stop an ancient threat to her world that has recently awakened. 9999 levels of maniacal mishaps and ethereal adventures await Sylma, her crew, and hordes of Shampurus as Mugen Souls Z hits Western shores in 2014!

Certain aspects of Mugen Souls Z, they add, will be edited for the U.S. and Europe, due to the “sensitive nature of some content”.

Well, it is understandable why they would do it considering the content that this game has. Personally, I don't mind the edits since I never cared about the shower/bath mini-game or whatever this game had in the first place that warrants the edits. All I can say is, just be happy that NIS America even bother at all in localizing the second game considering the outcry and the lack of sales of the first game...

Well I think Record of Agarest War 2 has something to say about that with its massaging mini-game where you can rub anywhere on the girls that can be done with either a Dualshock 3 controller or PS Move as well as doing other things to them. It was not censored and it was also a Idea Factory/Compile Heart game.

While I still bought the 1st game despite the censorship that I don't really care for, I thought the game overall was great but it shouldn't have tried to be like Disgaea when it comes to grinding.

Yes, Mugen Souls Z will be edited, but the content that was removed isn’t much. Siliconera asked NIS America to clarify the edits and the bath mini-game that was removed from Mugen Souls will not be in Mugen Souls Z.

A representative from NIS America explained that everything else will be untouched. The story, text, and core gameplay will be the same. Stat increases that players would have received from the bath mini-game will be applied automatically.

Mugen Souls Z is slated for release in North America and Europe next year.
