YAY!!!

Film of the year so far for me...will be a treasured film on blu-ray. Along with Nebraska and Inside Llewyn Davis, this will be a must for blu-ray...looked exceptional on the big screen thanks to the brilliant cinematography. Rate this very highly, will be pre-ordering once it's up on Amazon!

Don't know what Amazon are playing at. They've had the DVD up for notify since the beginning of February, and then after the Oscars, a page for the BD appeared, but was listed as format DVD, and now it's disappeared....

Day one for me....

Now I'm really confused, as if you follow the Academy Awards link, and click on the Her image, it displays two items with different covers, but both DVDs

Cheers, though, have signed up for that one. Thought I was going to have to resort to a HD iTMS copy....

Yeah I don't get it either. Amazon does it, Zavvi does it, HMV do too. I'm guessing it's just in case the studio decides to set the supplier cost at a higher price than anticipated if they set it at £15 and end up getting less profit per unit, so it's likely the supplier's fault. Really annoying at the consumer's end though, and also for businesses in terms of competition - as soon as one retailer sets it at the lowest price, they're bound to get more pre-orders and people will cancel their £20+ pre-orders with other sites. Complicated and irritating but there's likely a reason for it. I generally don't pre-order until it's at least £16-odd (hence why I haven't pre-ordered this yet...but my favourite film this year so far).

best thing to do is pre-book on amazon until the price goes down on Base.com or Zavvi-worse comes to the worse the price will drop on Amazon pre-release anyway...

Great stuff, I bet it'll look gorgeous - Hoyte Van Hoytema is one of the best cinematographers of recent years and his work here is impeccable. No wonder he worked with Alfredson on his first two films and has quickly risen the ranks to work with Jonze and Nolan!
