So it's no secret that I (and many people) am desperate for a Ginger Snaps blu ray region B release. I think it's a terrific film and not overrated at all. Calling it a good horror film really does it an injustice. I think it transcends that and is a film to be both studied and enjoyed by anybody who has a passion for film.

The symbolic imagery, the deep and universal themes, unique music, uncanny dialogue and brilliant performances, it's a true representation of how powerful and exciting cinema can be, and for that reason alone, it deserves a blu ray release.

Now, I understand that nobody bothered to sign off on my initial and, admittedly, dry petition a few months ago. I didn't really give people enough reason to care. After all, most of you lot are region free anyways and will probably purchase the Shout! Factory edition.

I don't want to go region free.I hate the notion of being restricted, but i'm not about to go through the hassle of being region free if I can help it.

Now, i'm going to cut to the chase. I need at least 1000 different posts on what will be the official 'Ginger Snaps on region B blu ray petition'. Each member that posts their support of the petition will be in with a chance of winning ANY blu ray from my collection of films (yes, box sets are included). I will also allow there to be a 2nd place position in which the runner up gets a blu ray that's limited to a single disc, unless the other disc happens to be a DVD and not a special features disc. (hope i'm making sense).

Now, i'm not very well liked on here, but I would hope that people realise I am at least genuine, and when I say i'm going to do something, I will do it. I will pay full postage for sending the items too for the winner and runner up.

All you need to do is post that you want Ginger Snaps and give reasons as to why you want Ginger Snaps on blu ray. Whoever gives the reason I like the most will win, the 2nd best reason gets the runner's up position, obviously.

Bare in mind, and I can't stress this enough, if this doesn't reach 1000 different posts by 28/2/2014 then I won't be sending anything to anyone. I need you guys to be aware of this. 1000 is a lot but it's doable, and the more people sign the petition , the more chance it reaches a 1000 and the lucky winners get my awesome blu rays.

Remember, 1st place gets a choice of ANY they want from my collection, the 2nd is limited to single disc blu rays.

It doesn't cost anything, all you have to do is sign and give a legit and non sarky reason as to why Ginger Snaps needs to be on blu ray, and that's it.

This is open to everybody on the forums, including Europeans, Americans, Australians, etc. Nobody is restricted.


So feel free to take a look at my collection. It's been updated recently. Then sign the petition and hope that your reason is good enough for the win. And if it's not, perhaps you'll make second place.


I'll post a picture of my collection during the week (i'm at my girlfriends until Tues or Weds) so that I can prove that I own these films and i'm not some troll.

It's worth it guys.
