No. The only person who can direct a Kubrick project is Kubrick. AI and its terribleness confirms this. And Marc Foster? Average, spotty director at best.

I've got a lot of time for Marc Foster. Hopefully this turns out great, and there's not too much tinkering with the original screenplay. I'd hate for them "sell" this project to the public as "From a screenplay by Stanley Kubrick" whilst in actuality they butcher his work but retain his name to give the films some prestige. That would be devious!
