If you have any DVD movies that will appeal to kids, such as The Wizard of Oz, consider taking them this holiday season to places like a Childrens Hospital or Sick Kids Hospital in your city.
You may not want the DVD version of something in your Blu combo, so giving them to a CH or a SKH is a nice thing to do. So many of these kids don't get to be home for Christmas, and they love getting these movies. Same with if you have any nice-conditioned Archie, Walt Disney, etc. comic books, as long as they are definitely young-kid friendly. You can also claim these as a charitable tax deduction, if you like, by getting a receipt with an approximate value when you bring them in. |
