No word yet, but this may get some kind of special release somewhere (the US were very kind to The Town on blu). This was a great flick too - more enjoyable than The Town for me, but not quite up to Gone Baby Gone standards (that movie was brilliant).

True, but I still think that there are other actors who have had that experience and still don't make a massive mark as a director. Nobody seemed especially keen on Dustin Hoffman's first film, and look at all the people he's worked with!

It made a big splash critically, but not so much with audiences. I think it depends on what style of films you start to make as well -- with every Affleck film, there's been a touch of the blockbuster (or at least mainstream) mentality that's balanced with an indie intelligence. I think that works just right for him, and I long to see it continue.
