Default What BD player to get?

Just trashed my OPPO83. Sent back to OPPO once to be fixed and i had no plans to send it back again. So i don't want OPPO again. Can't see spending 400 or more for a BD player since everything is going to UHBD. So what out there is good for around $200? Had to go back to using my 2008 Pioneer Elite 05FD.

You do know that if you call OPPO they will likely fix it for little or nothing likely? But that player is several years old now, non internet app model. Go to Cnet see what they recommend if you want something else as prices are very low for other BD players if that is all you want.

They wanted 80 to fix it. I don't care about 3d or streaming junk. Just something to hold me over until i replace all 4 of my BD players to UD players.

I bought a hacked Sony BD player a year ago for $220 to play my SPACE1999 year 2 BD from over seas and it has been a good player. Sure is tiny. At least it works unlike my OPPO83 that has been nothing but trouble for years.

If a person wasn't interested in playing SACD's and DVD-Audio discs (which both formats are dead, and has been for a long time), Oppo blu-ray players wouldn't be worth their price. Since I only wanted just a basic blu-ray player, Oppo blu-ray players never interests, nor impressed me.

I'm just gonna wait until i get 4 new UHD players and throw out the BD players. I plan to get a OLED maybe sooner that i was thinkin. My OPPO83 never worked right, but my other 83 has been trouble free.

The older Pioneer Elite stuff was the best, Still have a DV59 AVI i bought in 2004 that works like new.
