Default Your Most Frustrating Scene To Watch In A Movie thread

First a little background: so last night I was watching Pan's Labyrinth and goddamn it I nearly blow a gasket every time Ofelia grabs one of those grapes and just stands there swatting the fairies while the Pale Man creeps up behind her. I realized it might be the most frustrating moment for me to sit through in all of film.

It got me thinking that it would be fun to read about the scenes that you all have a hard time sitting through. Like, the scene where no matter how many times you've seen it you still can't believe that the characters are actually doing what they're doing and you just want to scream. And sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find a similar thread when searching.

the scene in THE LOST WORLD where several of our heroes are hanging over a cliff in peril, and when rescue comes they make jokes about ordering cokes and cheeseburgers...

one of my most hated scenes of all time (and in the same movie when Goldblum's daughter kicks the raptor out of the barn....)

no wonder I rank this film at the bottom tier of Spielberg's resume....

The dancing scene in Spider-Man 3 where Peter Parker comes out of the store wearing the suit. It makes me cringe every time.

Star Trek Generations. Dropping bridges on certain well respected Captains.

Spock in Wrath of Khan got a very dignified (if retconed) death scene. Kirk first got shot in the back, which rightfully got vetoed by the test audiences. So they replaced it with the bridge thing. Terrible.

this is off topic a bit but one thing about that sequence that always puzzled me.... why don't the zombies eat the dog?

There's a scene in Carpenter's Halloween in which Laurie says, 'Well, kiddo, I thought you outgrew superstition,' whilst viewing trick-or-treaters from afar. Then she does this weird smirk and walks off. I'm not a fan of characters talking to themselves, and for some reason this particular scene annoys the shit out of me. The film's still a masterpiece, though.

I dunno, it's obviously not the most frustrating scene, but the alternative would be to list any scene from a film I dislike and I figure that's kinda predictable.

Haha, perfect. The second I started reading your post I knew exactly what scene you were talking about. Something about that moment has always been like nails on chalkboard for me, too.

And yeah, these kinds of scenes really seem to stick out to me more in films I love. I adore Pan's Labyrinth but the part I mentioned in the OP just drives me freaking nuts and almost ruins an otherwise incredible moment in the film.

Opening chase in Casino Royale. Tried to watch the movie for the first time a few times but turned it off before or as the chase sequence ended. That chase just bored me and turned me off to watching the rest of the movie. Eventually I just skipped those scenes and watched the rest of the movie and loved it.

I haven't seen that chase in a while but might give it another shot seeing as how it was years ago and I might think differently about it now.

You must be joking That scene is pure excitement. One of the best action scenes ever put on film.
