Default Sony Shutting Down GT5 & Resistence 1-3 Online Servers in 2014

Just saw this. There'll probably be some unhappy folks here. I know I'll cry real tears when Burnout Paradise's is shut down.

Proving yet again that online games are perishable products, Sony has quietly updated a webpage revealing which games will lose their online functionality.

As of 28th March 2014, you will no longer able to use the online features for Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2 and Resistance 3. Not long after, on 20th May 2014, you will be unable to use the online features for the 10 million selling Gran Turismo 5. With the PS3 now officially ‘last gen’, we probably should expect more titles seeing their online capabilities switched off as publishers save costs on games that are no longer selling.

Considering this seems to be the norm for older titles, should we be concerned about the growing number of online-only titles on PS4 and Xbox One?
