The Storyteller on Amazon Prime - Blu-ray Forum

Don’t know how long they’ve had it but Amazon Prime have The Storyteller series with John Hurt. Haven’t seen it in years, since it was first on Channel 4, I think, on Sunday evenings...over 30 years ago!!

Not sure how well they’ll hold up but looking forward to re-watching.

I’m hoping that the remastered versions that are coming will be better than the last time the series was remastered for HD. They cropped it to fit today’s screens, but Henson and Anthony Minghella, the director of the episodes, used the full screen.

What was this shot on? The dvds I have are pretty bad, they're way too compressed to get them all onto one disc.

This appears to be live now at the various digital outlets. Hoping to hear some feedback before purchasing the new version.

Bummer, sounds like this wasn't a remaster after all. Since I wasn't finding any information I emailed Shout and this is what was said.

I'm hoping to get confirmation that the new purchasable Jim Henson's The Storyteller: The Complete Collection is a different version then the free-to-stream version that has been available? I have been a longtime fan of the show and the prospect of a remastered version would be extremely desirable to me. I've owned the dvd sets for many years and am hoping this is a remaster in HD.

Can you please confirm that the new digital collection is a remaster for HD?

Can you please confirm that the new digital collection is a remaster for HD digital? Or is this "Jim Henson's The Storyteller: The Complete Collection" the same digital version that has been available before 2024?
