Default Tech reasons for Choosing Blu-ray

Three techie reasons I am considering Blu-Ray over the competition:

1) It's not being championed by Microsoft (unlike the competition).

2) Blu-Ray is supported by Apple, who may offer Blu-Ray drives in future iMac releases.

3) It's powered by Java.

Need I say more?

Those are excellent reasons but that only the tip of the Iceberg. More studio support, higher storage capacity are two very important factors.

I think the OP was trying to be funny.

billg_sd (why do I have a feeling that you are a Micro$oft hater -- and no, I don't want to hear what "sd" stands for ), welcome to the forum. Hope you like it here.

enjoy

Wikipedia has a decent table compairing Blu-ray and HD DVD. See Blu-ray versus HD DVD table. I've referred a few rival HD DVD buffs to it, never to hear from them again.

Welcome fellow apple fan!
There are many more reasons to like Blu, but those are as good as any in my book.
