Haven't put the numerical order yet since this list will for sure be re-ordered and edited by the deadline. Always rewatching some of these and discovering other 40s films for the first time so I can't lock it in yet. But the ones near the top I enjoy the most. This is probably the best decade for film so it's very hard to narrow down to 20.

EDIT: Didn't have time to organize the list, but its more or less in order so you can just count them as 1-20 for your tally.
