DEVDAS blu-ray released

The DEVDAS blu-ray was released by BitWel, a Taiwanese studio. The video quality of this blu-ray seems not very good, but it's still better than the DEVDAS DVD. Because DEVDAS DVD's video quality is pretty bad.
The aspect ratio of the blu-ray is 2.40:1, but the DVD is full screen 1.78:1. The price of the blu-ray is less than US$10, it's cheap, and it's also one of the reason that I have bought 12 BitWel's blu-ray titles.

Due to the "DEVDAS" DVD is too bad, so you might feel "DEVDAS" blu-ray is good. But if you compare DEVDAS blu-ray with other Hollywood DVD, like "Dark Knight", this DEVDAS blu-ray's video quality is worse than "Dark Knight" DVD. So, if you haven't seen "DEVDAS" DVD before, you won't accept "DEVDAS" blu-ray's video quality. So you had better wait for another good transfer for "DEVDAS" blu-ray unless you would like to see the difference of "blu-ray" vs "DVD".

I have DEVDAS DVD and Blu-ray. I bought DEVDAS DVD from retail store 5 years ago, and purchased Blu-ray release from JSDVD. It's US$9.3 if you purchased from JSDVD, but you need to pay extra "Shipping" cost! And it would take 7 - 10 days for the shipping.

I just used google to search whether there is another version of devdas blu-ray, and shocked by what I saw from

the devdas blu-ray is exact the same as the one I bought. But the list price shows £ 29.99 which is almost $48, but it's only $9.3 from jsdvd. The price seems too high.

Till now, I couldn't find out there is any other devdas blu-ray release except this taiwanese release, so I can't compare this blu-ray with that blu-ray on the product spec point of view. People would like to have a good devdas blu-ray release, should be patient for a while.

we have to import it from asia and pay customs and duty hence price ,its the same version you have.

plus uk is sterling and very expensive to import to and ship out of.Its classed as an import from asia .

How are the English subtitles? Usually Asian dvds/blu-rays have awful grammatically incorrect Chinese English subtitles.

How would you rate the video quality then? Saying it's worse than The Dark Knight doesn't really help. Does the video quality look like the regular good quality of a dvd or a Superbit DVD or a lower-end Blu-ray?
