I think the show is great but I never would have guessed it would have been nominated for Best Comedy or that Andy Samberg would have been nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy. I'm surprised the Golden Globes ignored Mad Men and especially Homeland. Homeland won Best Drama the last 2 years, Claire Danes had won Best Actress the last 2 years, and Damian Lewis won Best Actor last year, so I would have thought at the very least the show and Claire Danes would have gotten nominated. I'm shocked Tatiana Maslany got a nomination over Danes. I've heard Orphan Black is great but Maslany has gotten ignored by all the major award shows. |

I am also shocked, but pleasantly surprised about the love for Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
What about Masters of Sex? Is that a good one? Surprised to see Top of the Lake here. I started watching it on Netflix. Good, but not great(not yet anyway). Best part of the nominations: Idris Elba! ![]() |

I am also shocked by the "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" noms. I watch it but could take it or leave it.
On the other hand, "Raising Hope" and cast have always been ignored. Great that Monica Potter got a nom from a terrific show which doesn't get much recognition. |

I see now that Taylor Schilling was nominated for Best actress for OITNB but in the drama category.
I dont understand these categorizations sometimes. I would classify it as a comedy clearly but whatever. I guess I wouldnt classify B99 as a comedy cause I watched the pilot and no laughs were to be heard from me. |

![]() Even if they're counting it as a drama, though..it easily still deserved a nom. Best show of the year, as far as I'm concerned. |

It's up to the shows to decide what category they want their show in and the producers of Orange is the New Black made the decision to put it in the drama category. It didn't make a lot of sense to categorize it as a drama because that field is so loaded while it's a pretty weak period for comedies. They were lucky to get nominated at all in the drama field, but if they had put it in the comedy field it likely would have gotten a nod for Best Comedy in addition to Taylor Schilling.

Let's see:
Most glaring omission was Orange is the New Black. Lizzy Caplan getting snubbed was a close second. It's really time for Amy Poehler to get an award for Parks and Rec. Long overdue. If JLD or Lena Dunham win again, I'm going to be pissed. |

I'm happy about B99 nom as a best comedy.. because it's clearly one of the best comedy of the season along with the Goldbergs (Wished Wendi McLendon-Covey was nominated.. she is really good) and Trophy Wife. But Andy Samberg doesn't deserve to be there... I think the nominations are really fair.. Looks that Homeland, and Mad Men lost the FPA this year.. |

No, the most glaring omissions are NOTHING for Game of Thrones....NOTHING for Boardwalk Empire and NOTHING for The Walking Dead. It's a joke that they were all ignored.
