Default Smart led tv processor

I'm looking to buy a 3D smart tv and thought the processor speed only matters for surfing and multitasking, not so much for watching Blu rays

The sales man at the store tried to push me the Samsung 8 series saying the faster the processor the better the display

Any truth in that?

Get a real computer with an HDMI port. There are mini-units in the $200-$300 range, or virtually any laptop or PC out there from 2012 on with an HDMI port.

You'll save a lot of money, and have ten times the functionality and computing power.
