Amazon.ca Star Wars dropped price

I hope this hasn't been mentioned already, if so I am sorry for the repeat.

The current price for Star Wars Saga is now $79.99 down from $99.99 as of last night sometime I believe on Amazon.ca.

That seems to be the new "normal" price for release day. Still can't beat the sale price of 67.99 last Monday. Or the error price of 16.99 for some lucky people

Yeah that 67.99 will be tough to beat. Glad I pre-ordered it when I did.

Anyone think it'll be lower still on release day? I'm waiting for Black Friday/Boxing Day....and the magic $50 pricepoint, that's when I'll bite!

More likely to go up in price to be honest. The price is set at $80 now. But trust me the set is worth $100 and will stay at that price probably for a while.

A while back. Don't even remember when but it was a price error and there is no guarantees anyone will get it.

I doubt. Unless Costco decides to fire sale these like they did with Alien, 79 is the lowest I can imagine it. Considering even Alien is still overpriced and there hasn't been a sale to lower it to Costco price level, it will be ages before Star Wars ever hits 50.

You both may be right, and if Costco does mark them down eventually I'll let you know. In the meantime I'm gonna sit tight. I didn't pay $80 for BoB (paid $33 from Amazon UK), and I ain't paying $80 for SW.

BB and FS dropped the price last week to $79.99. And you got an additional 15% off last weekend at BB.

I have a feeling BB and FS will have it down to $69.99 on the first day of release. They did the same with LOTR EE.

I think this is an ebay promotion and not just a random seller (I thought it was a newbie that people were buying from too at first!). Check out the ebay.ca main page and there's a link from there to the auction.
