Get Happy - Judy Garland biopic starring Anne Hathaway

A look at the life and troubled times of singer/actress Judy Garland.

This has been in development since 2009 and is based on the book "Get Happy: the Life of Judy Garland" by Gerald Clarke. Harvey Weinstein will be producing this as a passion project for Anne Hathaway. During a Howard Stern interview this week, Weinstein mentioned that they are finally looking to shoot it during the Summer. Apparently they are taking the Walk the Line route with Anne Hathaway doing the singing vocals herself. No director has been announced yet.

I personally think Anne Hathaway is perfect for the role, so consider me intrigued!

I love Anne Hathaway, but I hope she can hold her own with Judy Garland's singing.
