Default Game Region Coding?

On those rare occaions when a game/online is region coded, what determines the region coding, the PS3 or game?

For example I'm in the UK, but I have a US PS3 with UK, US and Japanease PSN accounts.

Whenever a sytem update is required, the US version is downloaded automatically, while I receive US news on the new iXMB information bar.

So for example, with GT5 Prolouge, once all regions are released, if I bought a Japanease copy, would the game use Japanease servers, or US servers (same as my machine)?

If it works like most things do, it reads your system and loads the appropriate version, so it'd load US servers for you

Thumbs down

UK DVD's are PAL, US NTSC, so they won't work, regardless of region coding.
