Nice to see this getting a BD release! I enjoyed the series for the most part, even if it seemed a little aimless at times. I'll probably pick it up at some point, maybe in a B2G1 sale at Target.

I wished I’d liked this series more. It was way too messy, focused on Harold too much. Shunned Nick and Tom who are both disabled which could have been great representation, but it just felt like they didn’t know what to do with them. Which is silly, since the book is right there (and over 1k pages mind you). Don’t even get me started on the villains being queer coded. Somehow the original miniseries was closer to the book despite having a shorter run time and 90’s tv censoring. It sucks too, especially since the actors are actually pretty good here.

There's a lot in it that works, but there's also a lot that doesn't, and compared to what it could and should have been, I consider it to be a big-time failure.

But I'm glad it's coming out on Blu-ray and will definitely buy it!

Paramount knows how to release a TV show on BD and not on BD-R? Who knew.

I started on Paramount + and breezed through the first 3 episodes but stalled after 4 or 5, and kind of lost interest. Should I finish it up?

No, I would stick to the original. This one is garbage.

The cast of the original keep it going, but this one is a superior adaptation in every way.

I read the paperback version of the novel during the summer of 1979. On the back cover, I can remember reading the following sentence in bold, black letters:

Soon to be a motion picture directed by George A. Romero

Unfortunately, it did not happen.

Kind of sad how the critical blurb is from King himself.

I liked the finale, which is a King-written coda to the story. Otherwise, the last few episodes are mostly bad.

2-Series Collection if you don't already have the original mini-series.

It definitely hits a lull in episodes 4-5 but the last 2 or 3 episodes are worth sticking around for in my opinion, especially since the last episode was written King himself and it's basically a epilogue to the original novel.

Doubtful since this is a Paramount+ Original and owned by Paramount.

It seems Paramount continues to support their original shows on the Blu-ray format leaving me to wonder if we may finally get a Blu-ray release of the first and second seasons of "Evil" now that it is a Paramount+ original.
