I ask this because a couple months ago I was browsing through some titles and saw Breaking Away (1979) was updated to an HDX option as it was SD only two months prior. Watching the two min preview before the update, the SD was of the 2001 DVD master with even more horrid compression, but when it was updated to HDX that and the SD streams use the master form the TT Blu-Ray.
So far, this was the only title I’ve seen that was upgraded. Apollo 13 and Robocop use what appear to be older DVD made HD masters even though the newest remastered BDs have been out for a while, so what’s the deal? |
