Are they out of their minds? 20 gbp for only 1 Toy Story?
I remember I bought the collection (1-3 on blu-ray, 4 discs) for like 15 GBP. So all 3 movies + an extra disc were 5 gbp cheaper than this one.

I agree fella. It's collector exploitation, pure and simple. If they removed the faux 'limited edition' concept and sold these at £9.99 on a made to order (unlimited) run, they'd make seven fold on their investment I'm sure, and cut out the evil ebay SB touting that plagues the internet. (If Alan Sugar or Mr. Zavvi is reading, yeah I'm currently available (for a very limited time) in the capacity of business consultant).

agreed

zavvi will fall via their greed soon enough
their 'offer' of buyng this and getting The Jungle Book for 9.99 is a clear sign they over produced/over price that steel out of pure greed

That's because most of us that are here are also at HDN. So we usually see it there first and there is need to post it here.

I was talking about this release already being discussed in the Zavvi Pixar thread, and how long it would take to get(what amounts to) a dupe thread.

I figured it would have had it's own thread first. There are quite a few SB's that don't have their own threads yet.

Are you talking about Zavvi exclusives, or just steelbooks in general?

SB's in general. It takes a bit to sometimes to see a thread here. I mean how long did we know about Tangled getting a SB before someone finally posted a thread about it? Like 5 or 6 days later.

As the guy who created the Pixar thread, I don't mind if people feel the need to spin-off individual releases into individual threads. Not everyone's going to keep looking in there to see if there's been a new announcement (even if they should because it's a fantastic thread and I put all the links and images on the first post and worked really hard on it... )

I got an e mail yesterday saying, if I order the toy story steelbook I get the Jungle book steelbook for £9.99. I went and saw the total price £19.99 for toy story, not really a deal.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the sharing of information! It's just funny after seeing happen numerous times, whenever a thread for multiple releases is started. Plus these steelbook thread really die down quickly after the release date nowadays.

If you order Toy Story, right now there's a glitch that makes Jungle Book free (instead of £9.99)

Not anymore! Hate to be a party pooper but they'd just cancel the order when they realised anyway.

[Show spoiler]
If you actually want a copy of The Jungle Book, I'd place a 2nd order now with the £9.99 price in effect. It is almost guaranteed that the FREE order will get cancelled. I mean, there is no harm in trying, but don't get all pissy and start complaining if it does get cancelled.

This is more of an experiment. If it works, I'll cancel my original order of Toy Story (by itself) and keep the one on this order. If not, no harm no foul.

I think the trilogy looks great, and I very rarely complain (this isn't really a complaint), but I think it would look better as a set if TS2 followed the blue spine theme in some way.
