Veep: The Complete First Season Blu-ray

From Armando Iannucci, the creator of The Thick of It and In the Loop, Veep is a similar look at American politics starring Julia Louis-Drefus as the Vice President.

It has a different pace and feel to The Thick of It (and no Malcolm Tucker substitute) but the sharp satire, characters and creative use of language will be familiar to fans of the UK show. Louis-Drefus is perfect in her role and the whole cast are great (Anna Chlumsky, Tony Hale, Matt Walsh and Timothy Simons are all stand outs), especially as the series progresses and they get more familiar with their characters. Definitely recommended - at least once the price drops a bit as £21 is a bit high for nine half-hour episodes.
