klipsch Forte II

I was talking with a guy at my work about his old surround sound from the 80s. Turns out the its an old klipsch 5.1 the 2 mains are forte II I think. He doesn't the model numbers on the surrounds, center, and sub or reciever. But he said one the surrounds doesn't work. And that he doesn't know if the mains work. Due to they haven't been used in a while. He said he would sell then for 100 because his mom just wants to get rid of them. Is it worth the risk? any signs I should look for, im going to check them of in the next couple days? Is this worth it? Are these speakers good if they work?

Edit: I'm pretty sure the guy is being honest with me and his family just wants to get rid of them. So that being said in a perfect work if everything check out ok and even with the speaker he told me does work is this worth it. I added this because I didn't want to get a response of he's probably lying at that low of a price.
