Rock Band commercial... WTF?!?!?!

During the broadcast of 'Smallville' tonight (Nov 16) I saw a commercial for Rock Band. The part that struck me as strange is the fact that, at the end of the commercial, the only console logo that was displayed was the Xbox360 logo. Now, obviously I know that the game will be released on the PS3. So I'm not worried about the possibility of losing it to the other console. What I'm writing this for is to hear what people have to say about the misleading advertisement information portrayed. Did anybody else catch this? It could turn a bunch of people away from the PS3 thinking that the game will only be available on Xbox360!!!

Actually, it kinda pissed me off now that I think about it! I'm all fired up over here!!!

Most likely Microsoft gave a discount on licensing or some incentive to put emphasis on 360.

I notice that on a lot of commercials lately. Recently i've been seeing assassin's creed advertised and at the end of the commercial the playstation 3 logo appears and they mention PS3 starting at $399. Seen it for COD4 as well but have yet to see rock band. Not sure why they do that.

It's a paid placement thing... sort of like how The Simpsons game has PS3 all over it.

Does suck they got an anticipated game like Rock Band though

Simply to put, the demographic for the 360 is that it will easily sell to that crowd than ps3. It will be a fun game, yet looking at the history 360 gamers will eat it up so quickly.

Uhh, PS3 has done that with like 3 games this month alone.

Yes Microsoft is helping with advertising costs and such to any company who is willing to have their game displayed on TV as a 360 exclusive. Just Microsoft lying to consumers again. Thankfully Sony rather then sitting and taking it has decided to do the same (correct me if I am wrong) with Assassins Creed. When the comercial for the game ends the PS3 logo is the only one displayed.

Have you seen the one that looks like a documentary for Rock Band Band? Kurt Loder hosts it, and Amy Lee and other celebs are in it. It's like five minutes long.

The COD4 and Simpson's Game commercials both only show PS3 logos and not any Xbox logos.

Cool, you watch Smallville too.

In my opinion there is still a lot of people that would go to stores and ask if it's also made for different Systems. I know because I'm an Ex-Employee of BlockBuster, and when games came out people would ask if BioShock came out for the PS3, or get this, if Mario Party 8 is also for the X-360. People are still gonna ask.
