Default Fox Digital Copy Codes- needing help

So movies like Croods, Epic, Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter, The Wolverine, Prometheus, The Way Way Back, etc- all give you this 16 digit number for UV- but for iTunes, you have to insert the disc, run the fox redemption software, and then put the number in and it will give you a new iTunes code.

So I had a really nice member give me a copy of a movie, but its the 16 digit number. I dont want to ask him to put in his disc and get me the iTunes code. Is there a way to do this on my own without the disc?

I'm on a Mac- so running an .exe isn't gonna happen

The Way Way back isn't working with the XML I use for basically every title. Wondering if I need that one exclusively?

If you enter the code for The Way Way back directly into iTunes, does it prompt you to use a disc or just state it's an invalid code. Other members have suggested it just may not come with an iTunes copy.

I do have the digital copy disc for Prometheus if you still need help with that. Also, The Way, Way Back only includes UV. As for The Croods, The Wolverine and Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter, you only need XML, and no need of the actual disc.

Thanks unsung!

For Abe Lincoln- Ive tried two codes and neither worked. Curious if they were just bad...

Note: The xml spreadsheet says you do need the disc for that one (just like prometheus)

I think Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter actually requires a disk...

That is because The Way Way Back is UV only. It does not include an iTunes copy. I think people posting that The Way Way Back assumes that it comes with iTunes since it is a Fox Release. The past few new releases of Fox titles have only included the UV as the only option (Carrie remake is also UV only)

ah okay, too bad that Fox has dumped iTunes then

I was confused by other people mentioning it and the fact it's on the iTunes Digital Copy Spreadsheet

Yeah, I guess they didn't want to allow HD redemptions for iTunes and that they want to keep making digital disc or something. Although I will say this, I don't know if for sure they completely stopped offering iTunes, but just looking at the last few, somewhat well known releases, they haven't offered iTunes.

Also, I think the person that maintains that spreadsheet assumed that it would have iTunes when they placed it in the spreadsheet, but just haven't taken it out.

**SOLVED**
Visit this page, put in the 16 digit fox code, click iTunes as your redemption format and it will generate a new code you can use in iTunes.

By chance is your serial a UK serial? you can change "us" to "uk" I believe, and get the same result.

I gave this a go with Abe Lincoln and it didn't work. Not sure if the code i was trying to buy had already been used for an iTunes redemption or not, but when I followed this same process it validated the serial, but would only let me download the android version for PlaysAnywhere.

Anyone else with a similar issue?
