Default MGM out of UV?

VUDU dropped all the UV from their most (all?) of their MGM titles...at least the ones that were lucky enough to be UV.

They never really supported it. Less than 5% of their catalog had UV rights. Maybe they are getting ready to support MA instead. Let's hope!

Fox distributed those titles, and put out the codes for them (and was, during that time, putting out UV codes). Otherwise MGM has never shown any interest in UV or MA.

All of those are still UV if you had redeemed them previous to the change. They can also be redeemed for UV in non-US UV accounts.

That's awful. I have Wargames and it still shows up in the UV locker, but I got it in Vudu (says the locker). I checked a few movies obtained in CN, and those still seem to be there (marked as obtained from CN). But those weren't MGM titles.

Are you sure you are not mistaken?
Movies don’t typically disappear out of a UV library unless it is a system wide glitch. WarGames is spelled as one word in UV and I don’t think the first Red Dawn was ever UV, but not certain on that.

Bit late to the party, but with the above, I'm guessing there's no point buying a UK copy of Skyfall then that has a UV code, as even if it's still 'in date' (unlikely I'm guessing anyway) it won't work? I did have a Plays Anywhere code from my Steelbook when I bought the film in 2013 that I couldn't get working at the time. I did contact someone to see if there's anything that can be done, but they say they couldn't help. Skyfall is on the Google Play Store, I'd be wanting a copy for my phone, but I'm unwilling to spend £9.99 on it again. Don't mind spending a few pounds on a new physical copy with a code though.

I think some non-US UV copies are redeeming for Google Play copies depending on the studio.

You can also easily buy a non-US Google Play code for a couple dollars that can be redeemed into any Google Play account with an easy work around - see my sales thread - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=248036
