Hey all - thanks for the help in advance
I have the PS3 version that came with the MGS bundle several years back I've always used a wired internet connection for my ps3 until now; first time ever using it wireless and having issues. Namely, if I have the internet option on under Network settings, it will not play any movie consistently. The moment I turn the Internet off - its perfectly ok Any known cause or way to fix it? Thanks a lot |

This was the first thing that popped in my head when I read the thread's topic.

Thanks guys; I did mean the disk itself. While I do have a 20 gig connection and also use the 360 wirelessly, that is much faster for downloads than my PS3
When i do a internet speed test, my ps3 will say 6.0 gig with upload of 1.2...of course, it should be faster, but when I try to download the 25 megabyte psn store update, it took 10 min; takes less than a min on the other system with same wireless connection As for how long I've waited: 5 min - last night I finally held down the PS3 reset and suddenly the movie played..... How do I turn off BD live functionality? |

One thing I should have noted: this happens to me with any DVD or blu ray
Changed setting to 'confirm' instead of 'allow' and popped in a standard DVD.....same issue - after many minutes, ps3 froze, so had to reboot Once I changed internet to off, the dvd started up absolutely no issue Not sure why a slow wireless connection would affect a standard dvd, regardless of the BD Live setting.... Thanks again |

I can't get my PS3 to play 3D. Everything else works. This is the first time I've tried 3D on the PS3. Took the tips from this thread and turned Internet off.
I'm trying to play the 3D of Tangled that I got from DMR. It loaded the very first intro on the disc (maybe it's in 2D?) but now my TV went black and is saying "no signal." |

Although I doubt that's the problem you're having... |

Settings-display settings-video output settings-HDMI-automatic-confirm on the next page you can see the screen and then set your TV size,it should be at the correct inch and then hit enter. Last edited by Villiam Hayes; 02-19-2014 at 08:13 PM. Reason: Added to. |
