Default Theater Closet Setup

Hi all!

Looking to make a quick conversion in my house, Right now everything is in my living room TV, Stereo, Cable Box, PS4, Ps3 etc. I am looking to move everything behind the wall into a closet in the next room. I am looking for a good IR extender that can control multiple devices from the next room. Any ideas would be helpful.

Thought that was just a remote? I need to get the IR through a wall into the closet setup behind the living room.

Harmony converts infrared to wifi, so it can go through walls. It comes with a wired IR transmitter you can run through the wall to the closet to control everything. Not sure how long it is or if it can be extended. You might want to check.

I will definitely look into this, the ones i am looking at now are froma company called Niles

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...pf_rd_i=507846

Runs about 230 if you want the full kit of 8, the standard IR box runs about 99 and you can buy individual IR sensors for 14.

I used a Hot Link Pro for many years prior to going with a remote control solution that included its own extenders. My equipment was in a closet on the other side of the wall my front projector screen was hanging on. Had the tip of the IR receiver coming through the wall from the closet. Very discrete not to mention the best IR receiver I've come across to this day. Definitely worth a look.

Also make sure you have the closet cool for all the equipment. Good Luck

I don't know if you have an iPhone, but Harmony has an app that lets you control all of your remotes from your phone. It also has programmed in viewing modes that turn on just the things you are going to use... for instance regular TV viewing as opposed to playing music without TV as opposed to playing a blu ray disk.
